Signup is now underway for a club that will plant the idea of sustainability in children.
It’s called Super Diggers Salsa Club and it’s part of reTHINK, Inc., an organization that is committed to reducing the Earth’s waste and get members to rethink ways of not harming the environment.
Club members will grow items to make salsa in the ISU Community Garden at 219 N. 11th Street in Terre Haute, then eat the fruits of their labor.
Club meetings start on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 and runs through Saturday, September 10, 2016.
During school, club members will meet once a week at 5 p.m. at the ISU Community Garden.
Once school is out for the summer, meetings will increase to twice a week, at a time that has not yet been determined.
To join the Super Diggers Salsa Club, call (330) 313-5500 or email to email@example.com.
Signup is free, but parents are encouraged to buy a few plants of their children’s choice.
