WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — One person suffered serious injuries after a car versus pedestrian accident in West Terre Haute Thursday evening.
The accident happened at the U.S. 40 and Paris Avenue split in West Terre Haute. Authorities at the scene said the person on the bicycle was flown by helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment of injuries. The condition of the bicyclist was unknown as of Friday morning.
The driver was not injured.
The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, ISU Police, Terre Haute Fire Department and Transcare responded to the scene.
