Just before 3:00 A.M. Tuesday, Juan Vargas, 58, of Chicago, IL was driving his loaded 2000 Freightliner semi southbound on State Road 63 when he swerved to miss a deer. The semi then went into the ditch on the west side of State Road 63 with the truck and trailer going onto its right side.
This accident occurred near N. Main St. in Clinton.
Wrecker crews, a dumpster and another semi were used to unload the trailer before the truck and trailer could be placed back upright.
It was approximately 5:30 P.M. before the roadway was completely cleared.
Vargas was hauling food products.
There were no injuries sustained in the crash.
