Due to a contractor damaging a water main on US Hwy 40 Tuesday afternoon, some Seelyville Water customers are advised to boil their water until further notice.
Only Seelyville Water customers who live on US Hwy 40 east of 11176 E. US Hwy 40, and on W. State Road 340 are affected.
Water will be tested Tuesday and Wednesday and officials anticipate lifting the boil advisory by Thursday late afternoon.
Continue to follow WTWO/WAWV for updates.
Customers can also call Seelyville Water at (812) 877-2665 with any questions.
Customers in the area may notice discolored water. It is best to run the cold water until color disappears in order to flush the service lines. If the discolored water gets in the water heater, it will take much longer to clear up.
