Sandy Hook mom brings ‘Choose Love’ presentation to Sullivan

SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The mother of a 6-year-old boy who was killed in the 2012 tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary will share her story with the Wabash Valley.

On Dec. 14, 2012, Scarlett Lewis’s life changed forever when her 6-year-old son, Jesse, was murdered in his first grade classroom.

Since that time, Lewis has chosen to share her motto of “Nurturing. Healing. Love,” with the world.

Learn more about Lewis’s crusade for social and emotional learning and her curriculum, Choose Love, during a special presentation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30 at Sullivan High School.

Free childcare will be available for children ages 2 through 8.
