A Parke County man has been acquitted Thursday of stabbing another man to death during a fight.
A jury found 40-year-old Dana Harris of Rockville not guilty.
He faced charges of aggravated battery, reckless homicide and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
Police arrested Harris in June 2018 after police responded to a house and found 42-year-old Shane Skelton lying on the ground with a stab wound.
Skelton later died at a hospital.
The man’s estranged wife told authorities that Skelton had been in a fight with Harris inside the house.
Harris told police he had used a knife to defend himself, and the jury agreed.
