Helping the community is a calling for many Valley residents, and many of those valued organizations were at Ivy Tech Tuesday for just that.

Phi Theta Kappa sponsored their annual resource fair at Ivy Tech Community College. This year the Kappa students focused on the topic of poverty in Vigo County. The fair provides students with resources on financial, health, and housing assistance. 20 agencies took part and informed everyone about what kind of local help is available.

“We’ve had homeless students on campus so we want to provide information and we also have a brochure that one of our students actually created which lists all of the emergency organizations if they need food, housing, gas. Whatever it might be,” says Dean of Liberal Arts at Ivy Tech, Leslie Stultz.

If you missed Tuesday, and would still like more information on these agencies. Please contact, Ivy Tech Community College at 812-298-2227. They can put you in touch with the right agency.
