VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Some Christmas trees popping up in the Wabash Valley will help spread holiday cheer to local children this winter.
Vigo County CASA has begun placing Who Elf Trees at local businesses.
The trees contain tags with the age range and genders of children in the CASA program. You can then purchase gifts for those children, which will be distributed during the organization’s Whoville event in December.
The organization is looking for items like socks, games, and toys.
“This is such an amazing event for the community to help support the children who are struggling and having hardship, and this is a wonderful time, it’s a joyous time, and it’s an opportunity to just allow the children of our program to just be a kid,” said Glenna Cheesman, Vigo County CASA director.
