CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — A man driving southbound on Illinois 121 lost control of his 2007 Pontiac, struck a ditch and flipped his vehicle multiple time early Thursday afternoon, the Illinois State Police report.
Timmy Utley, 54, of Toledo, Ill., left Illinois Route 121 to the west at approximately 12:25 p.m. After overturning multiple times, the Pontiac ended up in a field west of the highway. Utley was transported to an area hospital with injuries.
Utley was issued citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage and driving while license suspended.
