EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) – Evansville officials confirmed to Eyewitness News that Major League Baseball is considering hosting a game at Bosse Field.
Mayor Lloyd Winnecke says his office and the Evansville Otters have been working with the MLB with the idea of bringing a big league game to Bosse Field for a year now. Mayor Winnecke said the idea was inspired by the Field of Dreams game in 2021.
The plan was to bring a regular season game to Bosse Field during the 2023 season, but with several international trips already planned, the MLB is considering Evansville for a future season.
This is a developing story.
