COVID-19 in Indiana: New deaths reported in Parke, Daviess counties

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health on Tuesday announced that 1,551 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, bringing the state total to 150,664.

A total of 3,775 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 48 from the previous day. One new death was reported in Daviess County for a total of 33 deaths since the start of the pandemic. Parke County reported its third virus death Tuesday.

Another 233 probable deaths have been reported statewide based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.

To date, 1,572,350 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 1,564,722 on Monday. A total of 2,551,406 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26.
