Clay County motorcyclist hospitalized after crash

CLAY COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Clay County motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle early Saturday and was flown to a regional hospital with serious injuries while being cited for driving under the influence of alcohol, the Illinois State Police reported.

At approximately 4:46 a.m., Trenton Weaver, 24, of Clay City, was traveling south on Tower Road approximately ¼ mile south of US Route 50 when he lost control and rolled the motorcycle into the right ditch.

Weaver was also cited for driving while license revoked, improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration.
