The long wait is finally over, Saturday evening was the grand re-opening of the Terre Haute Brewing Company. The company first opened in 1837, then closed in 1959. Now, it has been brought back to life.
These last few months they have been carefully tweaking the building, brewing equipment, and the craft flavors that will be featured. Saturday, guests got to taste a variety of those brews and even take some home. Everyone we spoke to say they are excited to see what the brewery will bring to Terre Haute.
“Usually we have to drive to Indy or Louisville for places like this so we were excited we could just go down the street and get the experience,” says Emma Nye a Brewing Company Guest. Owners are brewing up even more as the business grows.
“This is the exciting part we are dialing in our recipes we are changing our hops adding different grains,
and producing the best products we can make,” says Jeffrey Hock owner of the Terre Haute Brewing Company.
The 3 custom brews will turn into nearly 16 very soon as research and development for more flavors are finalized.
