The Newport Hill Climb is like a car show on steroids as antique cars drive up a hill in a reconstruction of races that took place back in the early 1900’s. Many travel from all over the Midwest to race and see cars they or their parents and grandparents grew up with. Some racers even come in costumes.
The festival offers more than just cars. Flea markets, food vendors, garage sales and many other events attract thousands of people to Newport, raising money for the town’s Lion’s Club. The Club performs many community service projects each year.
This is the 50th Anniversary for the festival and will run through Sunday, October 1st. For a full list of events and times, visit https://newporthillclimb.com/schedule-of-events.html.
