OAKTOWN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A probable cause affidavit was filed Tuesday for a Knox County murder case, revealing more information about the investigation.

Police have arrested 44-year-old Kevin Hatfield of Oaktown, Ind., in connection with the death of his wife Jasmin Hatfield. He faces a charge of murder.

According to police, officers found Jasmin dead on June 11 in their home on North Scott Road. A probable cause affidavit says police found knife wounds along her arms and torso.

Hatfield was not home when police arrived at the scene, but he was arrested in Sullivan County soon after. When officers approached his vehicle during a traffic stop, court documents say they saw blood stains on his clothes. Dried blood stains were also found on his hands, the affidavit states.

Hatfield was taken to the Knox County Jail. During questioning, court documents say he told investigators he and his wife argue a lot. He then reportedly told investigators he was tired and didn’t want to talk anymore.

Hatfield is currently being held at the Knox County Jail on a charge of murder.
