Sonka’s Irish Pub has been planning for Saint Patrick’s day for weeks.
This morning the pub closed down North 14th Street to make more room for a heated tent.
Starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, folks can drink green beer and eat traditional Irish cuisine.
There will also be a live Irish band performing, starting at one.
And you don’t have to be Irish to celebrate.
“Saint Patrick’s Day to many including myself represents just good friendship, kind of celebrating spring and just kind of getting out away from the winter blues and you know just good fellowship,” Sandy Boyles-Gillen said.
The celebrations will officially wrap up early Sunday morning.
