Police, SWAT Respond to Incident at Sullivan Hotel

We’re following a developing story of large police presence at the Days Inn Hotel in Sullivan County.

According to officials, at around 1:22 p.m., police responded to a call of an unruly guest who refused to leave and gave staff the indication that the guest could be a threat to others.

When police arrived on scene, the guest still refused to leave and barricaded themselves in their hotel room with gun.

Sullivan County Sheriffs and Indiana State Police have been called in to assist the situation. ISP SWAT teams have also been called and positioned outside.

Officials have confirmed that guests inside the hotel have been evacuated, and are urging people to avoid the area.
