CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Indiana State Police have released the names of the two people killed in a four-vehicle crash Friday on I-70 in Clay County.
Police say Dolores Soroa, 67, of West Miami, Florida, and Anelis Nora Herrera Perez, 70, of Cuba, were killed when traffic merged into the left lane to avoid a semi pulled over on the side of the road and another semi failed to slow and rear-ended a passenger vehicle the two victims were in.
The semi kept going and hit another vehicle with farm equipment in the back, causing a trailer ramp to come off and hit a fourth vehicle.
A third person was transported to Regional Hospital.
ISP says an investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
