Police in Owen County are investigating a weekend homicide.
The death happened just after Midnight on Saturday, on Lampher Farm Road in rural Coal City.
Investigators believe Tammy Lynn Stuard, 52, Indianapolis, shot and killed Bradley Jones in his Owen County home.
Detectives believe a verbal argument took place before the shooting.
According to the Probable Cause Affdavit, Stuard told detectives that she shot him with her own handgun.
She believed the Jones was going to harm others.
Stuard faces murder charges.
