Teresa Pitts received a four year sentence for her role in the murder of Alice Anita Oswald in 2017.
Pitts appeared in Vigo County Court Monday for sentencing after pleading guilty last month to assisting a criminal.
Pitts was accused of helping her brother, Kenneth Pitts, after he allegedly killed Oswald.
The first two years of Pitts’ sentence will be served in the Indiana Department of Corrections, followed by one year of home detention. The fourth year will be suspended.
Pitts was also granted credit for a total of 456 days served.
Kenneth’s murder trial is scheduled for October.
