TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Pet owners lined up and posed with their pets to capture new Christmas memories and take pictures with Santa Claus.
Petland hosts the fundraiser every year to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Jennifer Ferency, the store’s owner, said it allows them to have fun and give back to a good cause.
“We’ve had people coming since they had puppies and now their dogs are elderly. They look forward to it every year. I look forward to seeing the same faces and new faces too.”
Ferency said the amount of money they raise varies from year to year. She said even in the midst of the pandemic, the community is still being generous.
“It does depend from year to year. We’ve had a good day so far and people have donated more than the cost of the picture so that’s a great thing.”
