A woman caught a thief on camera stealing packages right off of her porch.
She says she doesn’t want to be on camera, but feels this story is too important not to share.
Unfortunately, it’s that time of year when most of us are shipping presents to our homes.
With that, comes the unforeseeable attempt of someone stealing those gifts.
Eugenia Bullock of Terre Haute says this thief needs to be caught.
“I couldn’t sleep that well the whole night, because it really invaded my space,” says Bullock.
Here it is all caught on security footage.
A woman walks up, nonchalantly, to 2027 N. 13th Street.
Nabs a package that was delivered in broad daylight.
Then walks back to the vehicle, obviously driven by someone else.
“It makes me feel real sad because it was one of my kid’s gifts that we bought for Christmas,” says Bullock.
Eugenia Bullock says she’s not the only victim.
Here in the 12-points area, she says four more people have now reached out to her saying they’ve had packages stolen of of their front porch.
“We have a sticker on our door warning people that they are being taped.”
Still with cameras in plain view, this thief left with a book, meant for a 2-year-old.
“It’s seems like it’s natural to her.”
Bullock says the package was stolen within 20 minutes of being delivered, but there’s an even more unsettling feeling.
“I was home the whole time it happened.”
While Bullock remains without a gift for her youngest child, she says she hopes for just one positive thing to come out of this.
“Keep and eye out and try to get cameras so they would know and [be able] to get the person who stole the product.”
Bullock has filed a report with THPD.
She says a detective is supposed to come to their home within the next few days.
In the mean time, Bullock says that she believes she has seen the car drive by her house since their package was stolen.
