The Owen County Sheriff’s Department helped apprehend a wanted felon who fled Indiana State Police.

Thursday afternoon, ISP officers were investigating Chad C. Featherston, 45 of Bloomington who was wanted on two felony warrants; including one for dealing methamphetamine.

They located Featherston near the Greene County Chapel just off of State Road 45. As they attempted to stop his vehicle, Featherston fled, initiating a vehicle chase that led into Owen County.

While in Owen County, Featherston drove into a field, ultimately getting his truck stuck and giving Owen County officials the opportunity to take him into custody.

A 12 gauge pistol with the serial number removed, a large sum of money and approximately 130 grams of methamphetamine were found in his vehicle.

ISP was also assisted by deputies with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
