One hurt in Parke County wreck involving truck, buggy

PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A wreck involving a pickup truck and an Amish buggy sends one person to the hospital.

It happened Tuesday on U.S. 41 in front of the Parke County Fairgrounds.

The Parke County Sheriff’s Office says 68-year-old Gregory Willhite of Wingate was traveling southbound in a pickup truck when he rear ended an Amish Buggy.

19-year-old Lydia Stoltzfus of Marshall was operating the buggy. She as transported to Union Hospital in Clinton for her injuries.

Authorities say the horse had to be euthanized at the scene.
