The countdown to the 2018 Indiana Primary is now less than a week away; and on Wednesday night candidates pushed for last minute support from voters.
It included an important event right here in the Wabash Valley.
Two of the GOP candidates for US Senate stopped in Sullivan County for one last chance to swing voters before they hit the polls.
The event took place at the Sullivan 4H Building. That’s where Congressman Todd Rokita and Mike Braun met for their last candidate forum before the primary. Congressman Luke Messer was unable to attend the event.
A number of people came out and listened to the candidates speak about their platforms, their goals and what they plan to do for the people of Indiana.
The race is garnering a lot national attention; in fact a CNN crew came out to Sullivan and covered the event. And watched the Republicans promise their supporters they will try to unseat incumbent Democrat Joe Donnelly in November.
Just a reminder for voters: The Indiana Primary is on Tuesday May 8th. Voting will begin in several areas at 6 a.m. with the polls closing at 6 a.m.
