The Summer Olympics have athletes all over the world training to compete in Rio
And in tonight’s Going for the Gold report you may not know about it but one school has produced 48 Olympians, from 11 countries, winning 6 medals all in track and field…

As the Razorbacks of the University of Arkansas call Fayetteville home…

And with those titles many come running to northwest Arkansas… And not just any athletes… Some of the best in the world refine their skills in Fayetteville
Sandi Morris says “The prestige that our team carries is amazing, we have the best coaches that you can ever ask for, the most amazing facilities.”
From championships to gold medals… That’s the hope for several hogs — including former U of A student athlete Sandi Morris…

Omar Mcleod says  “I remember wanted to be in the olympics ever since i was a kid.”
Omar Mcleod is one of the best hurdlers in the world…
Omar Mcleod says “Back home, Arkansas, Florida, Texas A&M, is pretty much the schools that stand out mostly.”
He used Fayetteville as a launching pad to a pro career… And hopeful spot on the Jamaican Olympic Team…
Omar Mcleod says “I feel in love with Arkansas, and Arkansas fell in love with me.”
An affection that continues for both Sandi and Omar — as each still train at the school …
