Officers Escort Fallen Officer’s Son to School

It’s a first day of school one Indiana boy will never forget, as officers of the Southport Police Department  escort the son a fallen officer to school.

On Wednesday, officers drove 6-year-old Aaron Allan, Jr., his mom and some of his friends to school.

Last year little Aaron’s father, Southport police lieutenant Aaron Allan, walked him to the bus for his first day of kindergarten. Hours later he was killed in the line of duty while responding to a crash  involving an overturned vehicle.

Now they come together to stand by little Aaron’s side, to show their love to a fallen brother by carrying on his father’s legacy.

Allan’s wife Stacy started a campaign called “First Day Hero,” it encourages parents  to spend time with their children on the first day of school  by walking with them.
