TERRE HAUTE, Ind., (WTWO/WAWV) – Novelis, a leader in aluminum rolling and recycling, plans to invest more than $7 million and hire nearly 40 new workers at it’s Terre Haute facility, the company announced Tuesday.
“Novelis has been a strong community partner here in the Wabash Valley for more than 60 years and this investment solidifies not only our leadership position in the aluminum foil market, but also our commitment to bringing new, sustainable jobs to this region,” said Ryan Smith, plant manager.
This investment will allow the company to restart several idled pieces of equipment and produce aluminum for households. Novelis is seeking candidates for operators, mechanics, electricians, engineers and other operational leadership roles, according to a news release.
The company has 155 employees at the Terre Haute facility and produces light-gauge aluminum.
