TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Much-needed help is coming to the homeless community in Terre Haute.
On Tuesday, Reach Services opened its new Pathways Day Center. The building is located at 504 S. 15th St.
The organization aims to provide several resources in one centralized location. These include training, job placement, free laundry services and helping attendees build self-esteem.
Those who are homeless can also use the building’s address as their own, temporarily.
Facilities are currently closed due to the holiday, but they will re-open on July 5.
“We are finally making this happen. We have dreamed about this for several years and have worked with the Homeless Coalition. We feel like we’re finally at a point where doors will open and we can serve the homeless,” Susie Thompson, Executive Director of Reach Services, said.
Donations for the building are being accepted, to find out more click on this link.
