After more than a year of planning and building, cars are finally racing at the new track of the Terre Haute Quarter Midget Association.
The THQMA held a grand opening and the first race of the season on Saturday.
The track has everything you can think of, power outlets for working and camping, digital and safety features for on track activities, and most importantly a safe atmosphere for kids.
Thes new state of the art facility is hoping to lead the pack in the sport
“Our biggest hope is that we’re still here in another 60 years. That we’ll have 60 more years of fun and memories for each kid and each continuing generation to race,” said Jayne-Ani Collins, THQMA president.
The club will host its annual “Arrive and Drive” event next Saturday where kids, ages 5 to 12, can get in a car and drive it around the track for $10.
