New exhibit at history museum tells stories of local suffragists

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A new exhibit at the Vigo County Historical Museum celebrates the 100th year anniversary of women getting the right to vote.

2020 marks a century since the ratification of the 19th Amendment.

The museum unveiled a new exhibit called Vigo Women Vote: 100 Years. It’s dedicated to telling the stories of local suffragists.

The exhibit can be found on the second floor in the Special Exhibit Gallery. It will be on display through December 31.
