The Covered Bridge Festival is receiving a little more publicity than usual this year.
This after a group of film-makers decided to put their talents towards a Parke County inspired documentary.
The film title, ‘A Covered Bridge Journey’ focuses on all thirty one bridges, and nine towns centered around the Covered Bridge Festival, within Parke County, Indiana.
Director Nate North used virtual reality during the production process to help focus on the beauty of the parks and bridges.
North also composed an original soundtrack for the film.
‘A Covered Bridge Journey’ was released on October 12th as homage to the famous festival, and the folks in Parke County are thankful for the attention.
“It showed up memories of their childhood. You know, going to the festival. And you know their home in Parke County. A lot of people grew up there and then moved away. And it’s been really cool to see their responses, everyone just seems happy to see the place where they grew up again,” said North.
As for right now the film is available on DVD all around Parke County.
North says he would like to have a public showing of the film very soon, possibly at the Indiana Theatre in Terre Haute, IN.
