TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — After a decade of planning, City Hall’s Turn to the River phase one is nearly complete.

Terre Haute’s newest artwork sculpture will replace the fountain in front of City Hall. The new sculpture also features a fountain. It’s located in between City Hall’s entrance and the Vigo County Courthouse.

The artwork is designed to represent the Wabash River and granite seating.

Mary Kramer, Executive Director of Art Spaces, says that art is a good way to bring the community back to life. The finished project is expected this fall.
