Students at Indiana State University had the opportunity of taking a big step towards their future career by making some new connections.
Tonight, the I.S.U. College of Arts and Sciences hosted a special networking night. It’s where students met with alumni who currently work in the arts and entertainment industry.
The goal of the event was for students to make contact with professionals who work in radio-TV, music theater and other areas. Organizers hope that students walked away with important tips about their field while making a great impression.
“It’s amazing to see that they’ve been in our shoes and they know what we’re going through and they can tell us what we have to look forward to,” said Alexandria Truby, student.
“We hope to provide them with insight, give them tips on what they need to know, and when they do decide to apply for a job, they have someone they can call,” said Cody Mattox, I.S.U. alumni.
By the way Cody handles a lot of our digital content at WTWO and he is also a producer.
