ROPES CHALLENGE COURSE OPENING IN JUNE A ROLLING LOG, NAVIGATE VARIOUS ROPE BRIDGES, WALK THE PLANK, AND THEN ZOOM DOWN A 43-FOOT ZIP LINE ON THE NEW, INDOOR ROPES CHALLENGE COURSE, OPENING TO THE PUBLIC IN JUNE. THE MUSEUM WILL HOST A RIBBON CUTTING AND GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION FOR THE ROPES CHALLENGE COURSE ON TUESDAY, JUNE 19, AT 10 A.M. THE ROPES COURSE WILL HAVE AN ADD-ON TICKET PRICE OF $7 FOR NON-MEMBERS AND $3 FOR MEMBERS, AND MUSEUM ADMISSION WILL BE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE COURSE TICKETS. FOR THE GRAND OPENING, MUSEUM ADMISSION WILL BE DISCOUNTED TO $5 FOR KIDS AND ADULTS, AGE 2 AND UP. MEMBERS OF THE TERRE HAUTE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM AND CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 2 RECEIVE FREE ADMISSION TO THE MUSEUM. THOSE WHO PURCHASE THE ADD-ON ROPES COURSE TICKETS WILL HAVE A TIMED-TRIP THROUGH THE COURSE, BUT THEY WILL BE ABLE TO REENTER THE QUEUE AN UNLIMITED NUMBER OF TIMES SO THAT THEY CAN EXPERIENCE IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN. MUSEUM WILL CLOSE ON TUESDAY, MAY 29, AND WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL TUESDAY, JUNE 12 THCHILDRENSMUSEUM.COM ON SATURDAY, JUNE 16, THE TERRE HAUTE TOMORROW DIVERSITY/SOCIO-ECONOMIC COMMITTEE INVITES ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TO JOIN US AS WE CELEBRATE DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION DURING THE 3RD ANNUAL DIVERSITY WALK. THE DIVERSITY WALK IS A FREE EVENT IN DOWNTOWN TERRE HAUTE THAT IS DESIGNED TO UNIFY OUR COMMUNITY AND SPREAD MESSAGES OF RESPECT, ACCEPTANCE, AND INCLUSION. THE 1.5-MILE WALK WILL BEGIN AND END AT THE VIGO COUNTY SCHOOL CORPORATION, 686 WABASH AVE. REGISTRATION WILL OPEN AT 8 A.M., AND THE WALK WILL BEGIN AT 9:30 A.M. APPROXIMATELY 1,000 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE WALK IN 2017, AND WE HOPE EVEN MORE JOIN US THIS YEAR AS WE COME TOGETHER IN UNITY TO CELEBRATE THE DIFFERENCES OF OTHERS IN OUR COMMUNITY! REGISTRATION FOR THE DIVERSITY WALK IS FREE AND WILL INCLUDE A T-SHIRT, MUSIC, FOOD, AND DRINKS.
