TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Today the man accused of killing Jeffrey Cottrell with a baseball bat appeared in Vigo County Court.
Nathan Epple is facing charges of murder, robbery and resisting law enforcement.
According to court documents, on September 27 Cottrell reported to Terre Haute Police that he had found a man in his bedroom.
The man, Epple, then allegedly beat Cottrell with his own aluminium baseball bat.
Cottrell was taken to Union Hospital where he died of his injuries two days later.
Epple is being held in the Vigo County Jail with no bond and will have a preliminary trial on December 11.
