Big news at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with the dedication of the expanded student union. This evening, the ribbon cutting for the newly named, Mussallem Union was held at the campus.
The building was named in honor of Linda and Mike Mussallem, whose nine million dollar donation was the lead gift in the $25-million dollar project.
Mike Mussallem is a 1974 chemical engineering graduate and is the chairman of California-based Edwards Lifesciences. The company is a global leader in patient-focused medical innovations for structural heart disease.
The 140 thousand square foot facility has an expanded student lounge, coffee bar, cafe and much more.
The first even in the Mussallem Union was the Senior Celebration on the eve of Rose-Hulman’s 140th commencement on Saturday.
