Multiple law enforcement agency chase ends in arrests

Indiana state police saw a vehicle speeding on Interstate 70 in Clay county. A trooper tried to pull it over, but the driver would not stop. Eventually the vehicle pulled into someone’s driverway, parked behind the house and offered the homeowner money to hide them. The homeowner refused and called 9-1-1 instead. Authorities later found the vehicle in a nearby cemetary and arrested the driver and passenger.
The driver is identified as 29 year old Wardell McClendon of Columbus, Georgia. His passenger is 24 year old Kdaijah Lanier of Phenix City, Alabama.
Records indicated the driver was wanted for numerous charges out of Georgia including aggravated assault against a law enforcement, reckless driving, and credit card fraud. The female passenger was wanted out of Alabama on check forgery.
They currently in the Clay County justice center.
