Motorcycle Collides with Deer, Two Seriously Injured


*UPDATE – We now know the names of the two people injured in an overnight motorcycle accident in Sullivan County.

The two have been identified as 57-year-old Brad Coulson of New Lebanon And 37-year-old Alicia Sexton of Merom.

Coulson, the driver, is at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis in critical condition.

While the passenger, Sexton, is at Terre Haute Regional Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

*ORIGINAL – Just before 1:00 AM this morning crews responded to a motorcycle crash involving a deer.

The accident happened on State Road 58 just East of Merom in Sullivan County. Two were injured in the crash, both were thrown from the bike.

The driver of the motorcycle was flown to an Indianapolis  Hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The passenger was taken to Terre Haute Regional Hospital and listed in serious, but stable condition.

Police say neither were wearing helmets.

State Road 58 was closed for about an hour but has since reopened.

Their names have not been released.
