“There’s no place like home!”
Just ask a memorabilia collector who is getting back a famous pair of ruby red slippers from the film ‘The Wizard of Oz.’
After being missing for over a decade, the FBI has finally found the famous shoes and have returned them to the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Museum officials reported the shoes had disappeared back in August 2005.
Collector Michael Shaw loaned the slippers to the museum, but asked them not to put it in their vault.
The shoes are one of four known pairs that actress Judy Garland wore as Dorothy in the 1939 film, and are valued at $2.3 million dollars.
Authorities plan to reveal details of the shoes’ recovery Tuesday afternoon at the Minneapolis Headquarters of the FBI.
It’s unclear if anyone will be charged or if the wicked witch of the west is to blame.
