CONNECTICUT – Miss America will not have a Terre Haute connection.
Tonight, Miss Indiana, Tiarra Taylor was featured on the Miss America competition on NBC. However, Tiarra was not selected as one of the 15 finalists.
Over the summer, the New Albany native won the title of Miss Indiana. She also served as Miss Indiana State University.
On Monday night, Tiarra took part in the preliminary “Miss America” competition. She gave an emotional performance of the song “You will be found.”
Tiarra is a first-generation college student who will graduate with a communication degree, after the spring semester. By the way, Miss Virginia was crowned as Miss America.
