Mike Pence’s Plane Slides Off Runway

A scary moment for Republican Vice Presidential Nominee Governor Mike Pence tonight.

The campaign plane carrying Pence skidded off the runway after it landed in heavy rain at New York’s Laguardia Airport.

Emergency Personnel evacuated about 30 passengers on board the plane.

Among those traveling with Pence were members of his family, including Mrs. Pence and his oldest daughter Charlotte, staffers, and members of the media covering the campaign.

Pence was traveling from Fort Dodge, Iowa and headed to a fundraiser appearance tonight at Trump Tower.

The plane did not strike any of the fencing and was never in danger of going into the water according to officials and no one was injured .

The runway is currently shut down.

Donald Trump, who was on his way to Cleveland for a rally, reached out to Mike Pence shortly after to ensure that everyone was safe.

According to campaign sources, Pence did not attend the fundraiser at Trump Tower after the incident, but instead opted to speak to donors by phone rather.
