Memorial benches placed in beloved teens favorite spots

News

After a community wide endeavor at the beginning of the year, the lives of three local teenagers will be commemorated in a unique way.

In December of 2018, Tyson Boyll, Kegan Ennen, and Thomas Jaroscak were killed in a car wreck. In January the community collected bottle caps and received twice as many caps as they needed. Three benches were made for each boy and one made for all three of them. They placed each bench by each of the boys’ favorite spots around the school. Tysons’ by the baseball field, Kegan’s by the football field, and Thomas’ by the automotive shop.

Head baseball coach at North Central High School Joe Kutch said “we’re all going to miss these boys. Even though its been five plus months..heading on 5 months. They’re still thought about daily. Especially when we have a baseball game or a football practice, or just kids in the halls talking. Their memory will live on forever and hopefully these benches will help spark that memory occasionally.”

An additional bench was made and donated to Terre Haute South High School to commemorate Jenna Perrelle.
