Terre Haute Area Meals on Wheels celebrates its volunteers, local leaders and a new location.

Terre Haute Police Chief Shawn Keen, West Terre Haute Police Chief Bill Bark and Vigo County Sheriff John Plasse helped make meals Monday morning.

It’s all part of this month’s national campaign called “March for Meals.”

It highlights Meals on Wheels and the work it does.

Five days a week, Meals on Wheels delivers a hot and a cold meal to senior citizens or those who are homebound.

There will be an open house from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at the new Meals on Wheels location at 5th and Poplar.

Mayor Duke Bennett will lead a ribbon cutting and read a proclamation at 6 p.m.
