MARTINSVILLE, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) – A summer time tradition kicked off Monday in Martinsville, Illinois.
It’s the Martinsville Ag Fair and it runs from Monday through Saturday, June 15.
There is a full week of activities planned.
Each day begins with a livestock show, such as a swine show that took place Monday.
Each night is just $7 at the gate and then all carnival rides are free.
Organizers say it’s an affordable night of family fun.
“Martinsville has a great reputation for our fair. This is our 74th Martinsville Agricultural Fair and it’s just always been known as a fun place to go, clean and lots of activities each night. Each night we have an activity in front of the grandstand,” says Norma Calvert.
Speaking of those grandstand shows, you can find this week’s schedule on the fair’s website.
