VIGO Co., Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute manufacturing company is laying off 83 employees because of Coronavirus.
Allura, located in the Vigo County Industrial Park, made the announcement Friday.
In a notice from the Worker Adjustment Retraining and Notification Act (WARN), the layoffs will happen through June 2.
According to a letter from the company, sudden changes caused by the pandemic affected business operations.
A janitorial company called Prestige Maintenance also laid off 69 employees across the state in March, including employees in Terre Haute and Vincennes.
Officials with Allura said they will pay the employees from the date of their separation through June 2.
