Man Linked To Armed Robberies in Vincennes Arrested

A man is behind bars after Vincennes Detectives conducted an investigation of several armed robberies.

The investigation was regarding the robberies that occurred at Fast Trax and Discount Tobacco Stores.

During the investigation, several agencies assisted in locating individuals involved including the suspect. On Wednesday, Vincennes Detectives, the Vincennes Police Emergency Response Team, Vincennes K9, Knox County Sheriff, and Bicknell Police located Benjamin W. Held at a residence in Bicknell.

Held was taken into custody without incident and charged with two counts of armed robbery, possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, possession of a handgun without a license, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

Assisting agencies included the Putnamville and Evansville Posts of the Indiana State Police,  the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, the Knox County Sheriff’s Department and the Bicknell City Police Department.
