SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A man fled from authorities Wednesday evening in Sullivan after a traffic stop by Indiana State Police.

It happened near U.S. 41 south just after 8 p.m. Police on scene say the man was pulled over for driving 90 miles per hour.

The vehicle pulled into a driveway on CR 400. Authorities say the man threw an empty bag and fled into a cornfield.

Officers say marijuana was found in the vehicle. That car was later towed because it was not registered in the man’s name.
