A Terre Haute man is behind bars, after police say he was photographing a minor inside a restaurant’s restroom.
Police say the incident happened at a McDonald’s restaurant on State Road 46 West, between Bloomington and Ellettsville.
A 10-year-old boy told his parents that while he was in the stall of a restroom, he saw a cell phone being held over the top of a door possibly taking pictures of him. He described the design pattern of the phone cover and also the shoes of the person, who left before the boy exited the stall.
Sheriff Detectives later examined video from the surveillance system, and observed a man talking with another person. A short time later that men entered the restroom with a cell phone in hand and then leaving the restroom before the boy.
Employees observing the video with detectives identified the man to be 35-year-old Tyler Johnson, the manager.
Police arrested Johnson, and charged him with attempted child molesting and Voyeurism.
