Man Arrested After Sullivan County Burglaries

A Sullivan County man is behind bars after investigators from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office solved two recent burglaries resulting in his arrest.

Sheriff Clark Cottom announced late Thursday that deputies had arrested Anthony, “Tony” Plucinski, (pictured)- 56 of Sullivan, IN.

The Sheriff said Deputy Ron Elliott has been working day and night interviewing witnesses, executing search warrants and recovering stolen tools and equipment. Deputy Elliott also recovered a 2011 John Deere Gator which had been transported and sold by Plucinski to an individual in north Terre Haute.

Sheriff Cottom said deputies are still searching for the two missing rifles, described as a Henry 25-70 lever action rifle, gray in color, with black scope, and a 223 single shot rifle, gray in color.

Plucinski was charged with burglary in theft and secured in the Sullivan County Jail under $27,000 bond with no ten percent allowed.
